Hi, I have had 3 iv now and no problems as of yet.
Some people have had problems with crank walk ( end float) but imo its blown out of proportion, but worth checking any cars you look at.
They are not as easy to mod as far as ecu's go due to having to the 4 not being able to be reflashed. and the injectors are smaller than later modles.
Onec over the fueling and ecu side of things the modding is about the same, depending on how far you want to go.
Parts are easy to get and getting cheeper as the cars get older, well worth shopping around for though.
