I know it's a big risk, but I have done it more than a few times. The biggest thing is to go fast enough to cause a bow wave-that way the engine is kept clear of water because the front of the car pushes it out of the way like the bough of a ship. Go too slow and you drown.
Anyhow, I am not sure I will be taking risks of any kind with the evo.
