my g/f has been using the Evo for the last couple of days as we're down to 1 car until the gearbox is fixed in her A3. Yesterday when she brought it back I could smell the clutch quite bad when i went in garage to get car out to go to work in eve :shock: :???:
This aft when she got back I went to check it again. You could still smell it but nowhere near as much. I've taken it for a drive & it feels fine. I got her to take me round the block to see how she uses operates the clutch. Basically it seems she's letting it out too slowly & by giving it too much revs with her not being used to it it's making the clutch slip a bit
Anyways, what i'm wanting to know as i've read Evo clutches can be buggered quite easily. Is does anybody think it's a cause for concern. Like having to buy a new clutch/flywheel?
I'm going to work in it again tonight so i'm gonna have a good sniff when i get there
