You can manage your boost level with either a dawes or an electronic controller.

A dawes is cheap, but needs setting up properly, and ideally when the air is cold so you don't get overboost when temps drop. You can set it where you like and they're pretty reliable when fitted properly. The level of boost you get will vary slightly with air temp though.

An electronic controller, blitz, HKS or whatever is more adjustable and will allow you to run a more consistant level boost independant of the ourside air pressure and temp as they're easily adjusted in the car to compensate. Ultimately the do basically the same thing though.

I thought the RalliArt ECU raised the boost and ran richer too, to accomodate need for more fuel when running higher boost. I believe there was a change in the temp when the fans come on too, but i could be wrong about that.
