The one we did last week was a problem with the bolts being sheered ....in a case like this its better and cheaper to repair, the job wasn't a big one and the customer left a happy bunny :-) Was cheaper than buying 2nd hand one and as mentioned, you never really know what you are getting if you buy 2nd hand unless the car has done very little miles.
TBH it all depends what is wrong with it babe, as to whether its worth fixing or not
